A large portion of my job as a Stylist and a Style Director is to know what designers, brands, etc are coming out with and although the season is getting pretty chilly and many are beginning to wrap their mind around the holiday season, I am up to my eyeballs in Resort and SS17 collections. By staying ahead, I am able to pull for my magazines in advance, prepare for my TV segments and to see what is out there. Earlier this week, I saw a cohesive collection of classics with a twist which included wide leg pants, asymmetrical pieces and fun prints via Ann Taylor. This spring/summer presentation had a tropical and nautical vibe which had vibrant prints and a number of ways that navy was elevated throughout the line.

The past two months have been amazing with the launch of Athleisure Mag which focuses on fashion meets fitness meets lifestyle. As Co-Founder and Style Director of this platform, I love interacting with all the people that we do in order to make it all come together.
In addition to my role here, I am the Fashion Editor of DJ Mag and love creating projects as a Statement Stylist and more. If you're fortunate enough to be in NYC or other cities experiencing a warmer then normal winter - it makes you get just that much more excited for Spring. Starting March 1st, I will share must have essentials for Spring 2016 which I will share throughout the month of March. In addition, you will get my weekly call outs of items that are a must each week from projects that I am working on.

Valentine's Day is about spreading the love to friends and family but it's the point in the year where you feel that Spring is nearby. As a Statement Stylist, I am constantly working with great brands and to share their message so that you can include within your closet and lifestyle. For those that are followers, you know that I will be in Mexico later this week sharing some of my favorite must haves which are perfect for when you're traveling. Many of these items will also be included within my Valentine's Guide known as the #LoveFest16. Whether you're focused on including these items into Valentine's gifting or simply getting ready for warmer temperatures, think of this guide as a preview version of the Spring Guide that will be shared on this site in a few weeks. I will also tweet about must have brands as this guide will also reference items worth noting as I navigate New York Fashion Week Mens (Feb 1st - 4th) as well as New York Fashion Week (Feb 11th - 18th).
#LoveFest will be within previews from Jan 27th - Jan 31st (social while I am at Villa Del Palmar in Baja, Mexico on a press trip), the guide will be live on Feb 1st - Feb 14th and you can learn about brands via social from Feb 1st - 7th. On Valentine's Day, there will be fun twets I share about all brands that participated. Just in case you didn't nab them prior to the day of love but can still get the day of or after.

Earlier this week, I needed a bit of inspiration and found myself in Macy's to check out their shoe floor. There are always a number of fun options that take you from styles that work well whether you're running errands in Frye (with an array of leather sneaker options), going out with the girls in Sam Edelman or trekking in the rain with Hunter Boots.

With the warmer weather finally staying put here in NYC, even the most basic of activities is enjoyable! Who doesn't love going outside for every little reason. As a stylist, this weather is perfect as it is warm enough to avoid layers and yet it is cool enough that you're not too sweaty. As I ran around today taking care of a few things for a shoot next week, had to snap a quick picture to take in a scene that is just so New York.

As we get closer to the official kick off of winter, I'm thinking of Spring and Summer style for 2015 and tall gladiator sandals have been such a great way to add a twist to your sense of style when you're wearing rompers and maxi dresses! I'm loving Santoni in this vibrant blue and the metalesque look to the above pair by Roger Vivier.
I also love the super casual feel to these Ivy Kirzhner gladiator sandals as this is very Coachella (as well as other music festivals. My favorite pair of this style of shoes is none other than these radiant and elegant sandals by Giuseppe Zanotti!

A few years ago, we were introduced to Same Sky (at the launch event at the Ana Tzarev gallery back in 2009), an accessory brand that provides jobs globally for women who are working to lift themselves out of poverty. They do this by providing the necessary tools to make them self sufficient via training them as artisans. These women within Sub Saharan Africa earn 15 - 20% time the average wage in their area and 100% of net proceeds are placed back towards training and obtaining more artisans! Same Sky over the years has grown to a range of bracelets, necklaces, earrings and wraps; however, they started from the core portions of the line known as the Sky Bracelets (a selection of our favorite hues perfect for spring shown here in Jade, Peacock, Honeycomb, Zebra and Mink). One Sky Bracelet purchases healthcare for an entire year for an artisan.
