Shoe Sundays ~ Shoes for Spring + Summer

Earlier this week, I needed a bit of inspiration and found myself in Macy's to check out their shoe floor. There are always a number of fun options that take you from styles that work well whether you're running errands in Frye (with an array of leather sneaker options), going out with the girls in Sam Edelman or trekking in the rain with Hunter Boots.

Trendy Thursdays ~ Super Model Emme & Macy's

"I am a member of the Everywhere Society and Everywhere has provided me with compensation for this post. However, all thoughts and opinions expressed are my own." This MUST go on the top of your blog post.

When I was growing up, I remember a stunning model named Emme and not only did she grace a number of campaigns, TV shows and more but she was a beacon for all who wished to love their bodies, especially within the plus size market. She has always been one to champion the fact that that the fashion industry should be inclusive of this sector and that they should not only be represented but that they should have the same quality and options of those that are in other size brackets. As someone who is not plus size but is a Fashion Stylist as well as a TV Personality, I enjoy incorporating plus size looks within my segments, shows that I produce and more. I think it is essential to portray what is in the market place and being someone that is about everyone looking good and feeling good, I am so pleased about what Emme is working on!

Over the next few days, Emme, Super Model, entrepreneur and designer will have fashion shows at Macy's showcasing her line to continue her movement to create awareness, love and availability of sizes and quality within the plus market. It kicks off here in NYC at Macy's Herald Square on March 26th at 6pm, continues at Tuttle Crossing in Columbus Ohio and ends in Macy's Columbia at Columbia, Maryland on May 16th! You can find out more information on Macy's.com. This is a great way to see phenomenal looks to add within your wardrobe as well as to meet Emme at a talk that focuses on highlighting positive body image which is good for everyone no matter what your size is! It's impossible to hear from Emme and not to ask her a number of questions as she has been a prominent voice within the fashion industry around the world to advocate self-esteem - it's your chance to ask her whatever questions you have for her on this issue. If you do attend, you can enjoy a show, refreshments while shopping and receiving an exclusive cosmetics travel bag with any Macy's Women purchase of $75 or more (this sis while supplies last and one per customer receipt). Although you don't have to RSVP for the show, your attendance to it is first come - first served.

Before you see the shows or if you don't have a city that is included within these fashion shows, you can enjoy a range of Twitter Chats to learn more! I hope that you join me as I will be one of the panelists for the Macy's Herald Square chat with Emme which will take place at 1pm EST on March 20th. You can RSVP right here. You can follow along this Twitter Chat by engaging with the hashtag, #MacysEmme.

Having a welcoming home is such an essential not only for you but when it comes to inviting people over as well! The little touches let people know a lot more about you and gives great insight into you. There is something about this time of year that definitely makes me look at ways to tweak my living space whether it's accents or the big pieces. This is also true for those that are making plans in terms of their summer homes as those need to be updated as well so that you can enjoy them when you arrive!

I love a great rich neutral that still ranks high on the pop factor! Today's decor is inspired by these fabulous Fendi Slingback Snakeskin Print heels that are amazing with cute dresses for brunch, pairs well with denim and is perfect to be rocked with rompers begging to be dressed up! They're fabulous year around which sets the stage for pieces that you're looking to add into your decor.

The rich and warm hues look amazing and so I am bringing this into pieces that would be perfect for the living room, office and open areas in your home that are off to the side of rooms. Roll over images to see what pieces are on my radar at the moment including Macy's, Horchow, Urban Outfitters and Gilt.

Fashionable Fridays ~ Johana Hernandez

If you've been reading my tweets you know of this season's addiction to Fashion Star mainly because of Glaudi's designer, Johana Hernandez. A few seasons ago, I remember seeing portions of her collection when she showed at LA Fashion Week and seeing her designs hit the runway on this show have definitely been a reminder to me on why her pieces are so phenom!

As an Accessories Expert, I'm also a fan of the fact that she not only rocks some serious accessories personally but she ensures her looks no matter how eye popping have them as well! Last night as she stood with the rest of the members of her team, she enjoyed massive bidding by all three retailers, Macy's, Saks and Express. Ultimately, Express picked up her beige and floral jumpsuits as well as adding in black.Of course I will continue to watch as she continues through the challenges and you'll find that at the conclusion of the season, there will be a recap of all of her designs with fab insights!

Shoe Sundays: Spring Prep ~ Get Your Office in Order

It's been shoetastic in my world as a number of items have found there way into my closet. With so many, I have been outfitting my office with them as when I'm not wearing them, they become art that everyone can enjoy when they're here. When I like a color, texture etc I find a way to bring it into my living and work space so that I can shake things up a bit. Although there has been a lot of inspiration, I love certain elements that scream Spring/Summer which works well for the current season and can be warmed up during the fall and winter to create a light look when the skies are grey.

When it comes to my handbags, Balenciaga is never far from my thoughts - the City Bags in a number of colors, how can I possibly be expected to choose? But they also have phenomenal footwear as well. I'm loving these Espadrilles that combine navy, white and beige. I love the striped effect which creates a classic preppy feel that's super crisp. This particular style makes me think of nautical, wicker and more which is perfect for an office and allows me to work on deadline, organize samples, get my outfits ready for segments and more.

These shoes made me immediately realize that I needed to have a touch of nautical in my room and I'm in dire need of massive storage. I headed over to Homegoods and found that they had a number of massive baskets and I love that there is a lid. This basket is completely filled with beauty product which is great as when people come over, they can take a few goodies over with them! A leaning mirror allows it to lean on the wall so that I can see my look before I pop out (or you can take a few selfies) - white wash is definitely my style as it's crisp and I'm a huge fan of CB2. Every office needs fabulous chairs and your office should also be a great place to do a photoshoot whenever needed and this chair adds structure to the image and of course if from one of my fave places, Horchow.

When it comes to accents, anchor the room with a fab rug such as this grey and white one which is a bit beach and very casual and is available at Macy's. Prop your legs up on this tufted ottoman or put your favorite style books on it to accessorize your room. Finally, I'm a huge believer that every office should have beverages so that you can instantly congratulate yourself for great deals that you closed, segments that were booked or to toast to the weekend. This Bali teak bar cabinet is perfect to sit within your office and easily accessible.

Snazzy Sundays ~ Accented Heels Inspire Decor

As I always say, you never know when inspiration strikes and mine came with this fabulous pair of Gianmarco Lorenzi Double Platform Heels (trademark of this fabulous designer) with exposed zipper detailing within the exposed platform. The detailing of this black shoe allowed me to carry this over into great decor options that can add some pop throughout your home!

In the bathroom, add details such as this black and white Legacy Home Linea Graphic Shower Curtain which has a nice architectural feel. Moving into the bedroom, flatsheets by Natori are another classic with a twist as they have a Ming theme on them. Pair this with bedding by Ralph Lauren as it's a classic that never goes out of style.

Moving into the kitchen, I am a huge fan of Mavea as we use this throughout the day, unlike my Penguin which turns my water into seltzer, this container purifies water and can hold large amounts. Paul and I drink from this everyday and many times, my water filters here before being used for my Penguin or Breville (tea maker that I am also obsessed with). In addition, I love fun dessert plates as these are perfect when you're having something sweet or you want to eat from a smaller plate, I love these Vagabond Vintage Black and White plates.

Moving into the living room or wherever you choose to relax in, I think having a Media Cabinet is a must! You can store your media in here OR it's great in your office if you want to store your accessories which is also another fun way to display as well as organize them. Add fun pillows to your space from Horchow which has visually appealing graphics. Finally, we're always charging our tech everywhere and sometimes you just want to talk with others on a phone (you know the ones we grew up on), so these Bluetooth Handset and Charging Stations available in black and white is perfect and adds a bit of pop in your decor!
