October is the perfect time to get away as Fashion Month has passed and you need a little vacation before getting ready for the holidays. Today's post focuses on Breast Cancer Awareness Month with a destination - South Beach! There's something about Miami that's chic and yet super casual. For the first time ever in its 50 year history, Fountainebleau will be lit up in all pink for the entire month of October and be pink from within (hotel lobby) as well. As part of "Bleau Goes Pink" in partnership with Susan G Komen Miami/Ft Lauderdale, they will have a Spa & Spice promotion for the entire month with its signature restaurants (Gotham Steak, Hakkasan, Scarpetta and La Cote) offering their Miami Spice offers into October and Lapis Spa will offer two $99.00 spa treatments, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting Susan G. Komen Miami/Ft. Lauderdale. Select retail stores within the property will also offer special promotions. (Images from Fountainbleau can be found via their Instagram account).
While relaxing on your vacation, you want to have amazing products including Skinn Cosmetics where during this month, they will donate 100% of sales (not just profits) from their Sugar Lips - Polishing Scrub for Lips & Laugh Lines to support Bright Pink, the national nonprofit focused on risk reduction and early detection of breast cancer in young women. This lip scrub keeps your lips smooth and is blended with oils from sweet almonds, olives, avocados, mangos, pistachios and coconuts. Another beauty essential is smooth skin and I'm loving Boscia's Tsubaki Beauty Oil - Breast Cancer Awareness Edition which is a face oil that brightens, firms and hydrates your skin so you look beach fresh.
In Miami, it's all about the outfit. I've become obsessed with Noe Undergarments as many of the pieces include more then just underwear. In fact, they can be worn as daywear, layered or for lounge. With that said, this Alfie Slip Dress in Blossom is the perfect item to wear when you're heading down to the cabana (love the Fountainbleu as a perfect day of sunning allows you to be pampered with spritzing, cool cucumber towels, smoothies and more). 20% of the proceeds from this piece will be donated during the month of Oct to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
My favorite part of going out is going out for dinner whether it's at this hotel or somewhere on Lincoln Road and then to head back to the hotel to dance at Liv.
I love dinner, dancing and drinks and I love a good heel. Shoes are made for being a conversation piece and I love that these stunning shoes from SCHEE are known as the Giuliana and 5% of the sale of the shoe goes to Bright Pink. Interestingly enough, while many organizations make donations during set periods of the year, I do love that at its core, SCHEE is all about continual giving depending on charities that they are aligned with. I love that these are a great pop of pink that are subtle but very eye catching.
